Contact Your Legislator

On March 11, state legislative leaders took a major step forward in the drive to bring common sense to California's budget process by committing publicly that they would craft a constitutional revision for the November 2010 ballot based on the California Forward Fiscal Reforms and bring it to a vote. Now is the time to make sure legislative leaders follow through with this pledge, and finally give California the tools other states and successful businesses use to pass responsible budgets on time. To do that, we need your help.

The Senate Budget Committee held an informational hearing on April 12. Click here to watch a video of that hearing. The Assembly Committee on Budget also held informational hearings on April 15th (video), 19th (video) and 26th (video).

Legislators need to know that Californians demand action on these non-partisan reforms - and want to see them placed on the November ballot. Show them how important this issue is to you and to California by calling or emailing the Assembly Committee on Budget members to convey your support.
